BPIT-CSI

BPIT-CSI (Computer Society Of India) Student Chapter was inaugurated in October 15, 2013 by professor H.N. Had, Chairman, Division

CSI Delhi section and professor R.K. Vyas, regional vice president-CSI.

The mission of the CSI is to facilitate research, knowledge sharing, learning and career enhancement for all categories of IT professionals, while simultaneously inspiring and nurturing new entrants into the industry and helping them to integrate into the IT community. The CSI is also working closely with other industrial associations, government bodies and academia to ensure that the benefits of IT advancement ultimately percolate down to every single citizen of India. To help achieve these goals, the CSI has several Special Interest Groups (SIG’s) and various initiatives pertaining to affordable computing and the spread of computer literacy. An industrial trip was also organized for the students of CSE and IT department to Network Bulls, Gurgaon by the CSI Society.

IEEE

IEEE is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members aspire a global community, the IEEE’s highly cited publications, conferences, technological standards and professional and educational activities. It is an initiative brought up by the faculty members and the students of BPIT to promote professional and educational activities and to foster the technological innovations. The orientation programme was held in Feb’13 followed by a two day IEEE-BPIT membership drive which received a warm response. Many initiatives are constantly being taken by this society which includes workshop on Android, Hacking and Cyber Forensics and Career destination in abroad. IEEE BPIT will continue to organize such workshops and seminars which benefit college students and strive them towards holistic approach.
